Guidelines and Form for Sharing your Child's Story
We want to allow everyone who has had a premature child to tell us a little bit about their child, so that we may post it on the website for the benefit of other families. Here are the how's and what's of this process.
1. By submitting your story, you agree to allow it to be posted on this site. Please do not include any information that would compromise your privacy, or that of your child. We will screen each submission, and reserve the right to edit out any information--or decline to post any submission altogether--that we deem inappropriate for the site. For instance, we will only post first names on the site.
2. Because of space limitations, each submission must be 600 characters (approximately 100 words) or less. We encourage you to give a very brief summary of your child's issues then and now. If your child did not survive the NICU experience or the aftermath, please do not hesitate to share your story. You can choose to include or not include your e-mail address to be posted. We also encourage you to send one "then" picture and one "now" picture (each picture must be 300kb or less to be included, and for the time being should be attached in a separate e-mail to roberts99@comcast.net).
3. Submissions will be posted, based on year of birth and in order of birthweigh, on the "We Were Preemies" page.
4. You are welcome to later add, or to update, pictures or e-mail addresses or your child's story by sending a follow-up e-mail to roberts99@insightbb.com (with the appropriate attachment if applicable) .
5. By submitting your story or viewing other stories, you agree not to use the site for solicitation or marketing purposes of any kind; anyone violating this policy will immediately be asked not to use the site again.
6. You are also welcome just to e-mail us the details of your child's story rather than using the form below. roberts99@insightbb.com is our address.
